Summer Splish, Splash, Splosh!
We have developed our creative and experimental skills this week as well as being introduced to our focus book “The Sea Saw”.
We have had a heap of fun, especially exploring what happens to different materials when water is added to them! Including when water was added to us!
Following on from our forest school session, Willows explored what a puddle is, how one is made and, of course, how it feels to splash in one - or several!
Our new topic of learning is based on water. We started off mind mapping all that we knew about water so far.
Then we explored our ideas through looking at shells, building boats, painting with watery paint, looking in non-fiction books to find different sea creatures and then paint them and we even created a boat out of crates!
