Springtime fun
We were lucky to have a few visitors in to school this week.
Mother’s Day is a special day that happens in the Springtime.
We celebrated our Mummys by baking biscuits, making cards and reading poems.
Spring is showing itself all around us! We have drawn daffodils using pens and oil pastels and then watercolour paint. We learnt about the different parts of the flower. We used them to make a Spring meadow in our classroom. We picked rosemary, lemon thyme and oregano from our garden and used it to make Spring scented playdough gardens.
We learnt about frogs and their life cycle and made frogs that catch flies. We have been birdwatching and painting the visitors to our bird table as well as much much more!
Spring has arrived! Well, it has in Willows! We have been busy as bees! We have found signs of Spring, many a worm, made spring perfumes, planted seeds, made a muddy Spring pie, painted a windy sky and so much more.
