Autumn 2
We have enjoyed exploring and learning about light and dark in the woods.
We hope you like our photos!
Bee Bot Coding Exploration
Using our story “It Was A Cold Dark Night” by Tim Hopwood,
our challenge was to get Bee Bot to visit the different animals in the woods.
During our Outdoor Learning sessions we have been exploring different types of holes.
We used measuring sticks to find out all about them - including how far mud splattered from the hole!
We also made tracks and trails to follow, blindfolded, to see what it felt like to be active in the dark.
There was a lot of talk, teamwork and laughter!
Learning is fun in the forest!
We hope you enjoy looking at our Divali photos.
Divali is a special festival celebrated by Hindus.
Divali - The Festival of Light
This week we started exploring the dark and getting to know which animals are more active at night time.
We had great fun digging holes and burrows, making dark dens, exploring with torches and much more.
We were also lucky to have a visit from author Andy Seed.
He told us a story and we joined in with a funny poem.
Afterwards we tried our hand as illustrators, with a little help from our Year 6 Buddies.

We welcomed ourselves back with a BANG! POP! and a WHOOSH! by making rockets using shapes, drawing our phonic letters into sparkly firework dust, exploring colours in paint and by searching for coloured treasure.
