Thank you to Life's a Beach charity for coming in today to talk to us about rubbish and the effect it has on our oceans.
The children experienced an assembly where we learnt about litter and how it affects our oceans and what we can do to prevent this. Beeches and Larches then carried out a timeline activity where we learnt how long different products take to biodegrade - (500 years for a tooth brush!!) before getting their grabber tools to search for litter around the school site. Oaks class were then able to conduct a litter pick along the road leading up to school - we were amazed how much rubbish we found! Thank you to Sophie from Life's a Beach for coming in to lead this.
