All About Me…… |
My 3 children previously attended the school. I take an active interest in their education and progress. I was an adult leader in Scouting for 18 years teaching many adventurous outdoor activities and leading many camping trips in the UK and abroad. I have worked almost my entire adult life in the telecoms industry having started in the RAF before moving onto the civilian side. I hope to put some of my experience to good use as a member of the school governors. |

All About Me…… |
I moved to Ruardean from Lydney in 2016 with my husband and three children, and currently have one child attending the school. My husband grew up in Ruardean and is a former pupil of the school. I work part-time as a dentist in Lydney and Chepstow. I am interested in inequalities in healthcare and education, and the link between the two. For leisure I like to get the family outdoors to enjoy our beautiful Forest of Dean! |

All About Me…… |
I retired from full-time employment in May 2014 after a 40 years local government career in democratic services working for a variety of councils (District, Metropolitan County and Unitary) supporting decision making, governance and propriety. I moved to Ruardean from Bristol in August 2002 when my involvement in the Church and local community began. I was licensed as a Reader (Lay Minister) in September 2012 and part of my role within the Church is that of Preacher and Teacher. My vision is to assist in nurturing links between school and church through promotion of the Christian message and assisting in monitoring and sharing the Christian foundation values and ethos of the school. I am a member of the Open the Book Team who enact Bible stories at assemblies two or three times a term and I periodically attend Collective Worship. I am a member of Ruardean Carnival Committee, the Royal Forest of Dean Rotary Club and the Royal Forest of Dean Herbert Howells Society (having an interest in Choral music). My leisure interests include swimming and cycling especially local trails around the Forest and South/Mid Wales.

All About Me…… |
I have been employed at Ruardean Primary School since November 2017 in Larches class years 3 and 4 but have also had the privilege of working with all the teachers in the school in the role of support staff. My background experience is working with adults with learning difficulties for 12 years and I have also been a governor previously at a challenging inner Gloucester school. I live locally in Lydbrook since 2017 and have truly enjoyed the change of life from inner city Gloucester enjoying walks and the outdoor life with my family and dog.
