Happy New Year!

Welcome back to 2018. I hope you have all had a lovely Christmas holiday, I am looking forward to hearing all about it tomorrow.

This term is going to be a busy one, only 5 weeks until half term and we have a lot to fit in. So, I hope you are all rested and feel ready to take on new challenges.

This term we will we going swimming on Wednesday mornings. This will start next Wednesday 10th January, so please remember your swimming kit.

We will be having Pro-Sports come in on Tuesdays this term, but Mrs Webb will hopefully be running one last 5k runner session on Thursday 4th January, so please bring in your PE kit.

I will be giving a new homework diary out on Monday. I am sure you will continue to impress me with your commitment to doing those extra important home learning tasks. Remember that if you manage to complete 3 lots of spellings, 3 lots of maths and 3 lots of reading then you will earn 5 bonus dojos!

Here's to a fun and productive term.

Best wishes

Mrs Arnett

Our Fantastic Day Out

Just a snapshot of our fantastic trip to West Midlands Safari Park.

It was a pleasure to take such polite, well-behaved children. Thank you for making me feel so proud. smiley

Yummy Maths!

We have been learning about scaling up and down in maths. We had a problem to solve with a fruit salad recipe as we only needed enough for two people. Larches did a great job of scaling down the recipes and then making a perfect fruit salad just for two.

Perhaps you could try some more scaling up and down with recipes at home.
